Last Mile: While many of you know us as the magazine Trenchless Technology, our corporate name is actually Trenchless Technology Inc. At the time we founded Trenchless Technology in 1992, the corporate name Trenchless Technology Inc. seemed appropriate. However, our company has become much more than just Trenchless Technology -- today, we publish seven other magazines and have a successful conferences/trade show division as well. As a company, we needed a name to better reflect our presence as a media organization instead of one that has sometimes confused people into thinking that we are a contractor, manufacturer or supplier. Accordingly, we have done something about this: we have changed our legal name to Benjamin Media Inc. To all of you great readers, we are still Trenchless Technology, serving you monthly with the latest news, innovations, current issues, innovative projects and products and just talking about you, who represent the dynamic trenchless technology industry.

| What They’re Saying At WCA 2007 |
“Congratulations to WCA on its 20th anniversary. It’s a really good show and always brings a good perspective.”
-- John M.R. Kneuer, Assistant Secretary for Communications & Information and Administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce |
“This year we are celebrating 20 years of outstanding industry leadership by WCA. I want to recognize WCA for its unflagging efforts to support our industry but most importantly provide the services and capabilities that have changed and will further change our lives – and the lives of hundreds of millions around the world. Thank you WCA for all you have done for our industry in the past 20 years, and that I know you will do in the next 20 years.”
-- Allen B. Salmasi, Chairman & CEO, NextWave Wireless |
“From the perspective of a non-traditional player in a wireless space, Google was pleased to be extended an invitation to participate in the 700 MHz Questions & Answers Forum at WCA 2007. The conference gave us a useful working knowledge of the many fascinating issues now being debated in the public policy world. We welcome the opportunity to continue the dialogue going forward with our friends at WCA.”
-- Richard Whitt, Senior Policy Counsel, Google Inc. |
"Your association is about what the future is going to be. I wouldn't have missed your convention -- a great kaleidoscope of ideas."
-- Daniel J. Doyle, International Development Director, National Public Radio |
“The WCA show is always helpful, because it is an event that brings together all operators and interested members of the entire community and that’s the most important thing. But it’s particularly satisfying that the industry is on such a wonderful up-tick. It’s great to see that the 2.5 GHz spectrum is actually close to wide implementation and it’s so close you can really taste what’s coming.”
-- Eric Meltzer, Managing Director, Curtis Financial |
"Kudos to Andrew Kreig and his staff on the great speakers and content that WCA brought together for its 20th anniversary show. The WCA show in Washington is always one of our favorites, because it has a sharp focus on intellectual content and avoids most of the "conference syndrome" where much of the air time is filled with sponsors hyping their products and services. We heard speakers from multiple arms of government (both inside and outside the US), service providers, equipment suppliers, technologists, standards leaders, solutions providers, financial experts, and representatives from municipal and public safety." <more...>
--Sandy Teger and Dave Waks, broadband architects and the co-founders of Broadband Home Central |
