"WCAI applauds Congress for passing legislation to make more wireless spectrum available," said WCAI President Fred Campbell. “This legislation will cement our global leadership in mobile broadband communications, create thousands of jobs, and give public safety the network it needs when our first responders stand in harm’s way. It is also a testament to the enduring ability of our nation's leaders in Congress to come together when our nation's most critical issues are at stake."

There are currently more than 1,300 hydrogen fuel cell systems serving as backup power for telecommunication sites in North America. These fuel cells can also be used as part of a telecom operator’s managed power strategy, positively impacting its bottom line. When the operator can remotely start hundreds of systems to reduce peak energy demand, they can positively impact their utility rates and receive credits from the electric utility or government agencies. In the end, the fuel cell becomes a viable tool in a telecommunications operator’s overall energy management model while continuing to provide robust, long run-time, clean backup power. WCAI will hold a webinar at 4pmET on Feb. 23 that will offer some examples for optimizing your energy usage. Register Now!
